Malcolm Lewis King

Malcolm Lewis King, better known as “Rock”, was born on February 3, 1972 in Brooklyn New York to Queilene King Brown and the late Malcolm Mcmillan. Growing up in Brooklyn, Rock made many friends, and always kept a smile on their faces. He was the neighborhood jokester. His playful personality followed him from New York City to Philadelphia where he made many more friends. Rock received his education in the New York City public school system and graduated from George Westinghouse High School in 1990. Shortly after, he became employed at Pfizer Pharmaceutical. In 1989, Rock met Sadonna Blue and knew she was the one for him. Rock asked for her hand in marriage and she said yes. They Married on October 17, 1998. Rock moved to Philadelphia and his love for sports soared. He helped coach little league football where he met a group of guys that became more like brothers to him. He would travel from city to city to work all kinds of sporting events. No matter where he went, everyone knew “Rock”. Rock looked to God in all aspects of his life. He would always say “I live by faith not by fear”. Despite his absence in the Church, he always held on to his faith. His favorite Scripture was Psalm 23. Rock was called home on September 26, 2015. His purpose down here was done. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Sadonna King, three sons, Troy , Malcolm, and Khayri King, one daughter Kianna, two grandchildren, Tori and Malcolm, his mother Deaconess Queilene Brown, Step father Deacon Lawnsie Brown, grandmother Tessie King Brooklyn NY, brother Richard King(Marlena), sister Shakeia Dawson (As-Samad), step sister Jenise Williams Newport News VA, mother-in-law Patricia Blue, three sister-in-laws, Keyla, Leticia, and Sierra, two brother-in-laws Justin and Carl Dawson, three aunts, Ernestine and Denise king, and Betty McMillan, three great aunts, Evelyn Fogle, Dolores King, and Marie Tillman, two nieces, Alisa and Cynthia, three nephews, Xavier, Raheem, and Isiah, two cousins more like brothers, Antoine and Twanzeil King, like a sister, Tiffany Thompson(Adante) Newport News VA, and a host of cousins, relatives and dear friends.
